FORMULA RENAULT - WINNER

Leach Lewis at the start of the year sponsored Oliver Jarvis, the 21 year old British Formula Renault Champion from Burwell, Cambridgeshire, and has gone on to win the prestigious 2005 McLaren Autosport BRDC Award. The prize includes a cheque for a £50,000, the opportunity of a test drive in a McLaren F1 car and membership of the British Racing Drivers’ Club. One of six finalists, Oliver was announced as the winner of the young driver’s award at the glittering Autosport Awards ceremony on Sunday, 4 December at Grosvenor House Hotel in London, in front of an audience of current day motor-racing personalities and racing legends from years gone by. |

SUFFOLK SHOW

Our first year at the Suffolk show, and a very successful one it was. A smaller stand than at SED, but we had the presence we were looking for. One of the main eye catchers was the Thwaites 9 tonne site dumper on show, a great opportunity for the kids to catch a glimpse at what their dads drive day-in, day-out! A definite event for next year! |

This year saw the announcment of Terex coming to the Leach Lewis range of equipment. Based at our Romsey depot, the Terex range will comprise of Dumpers, Excavators, Rollers, Telehandlers and much more. The Terex brand means 'a quality range of equipment' to all at Leach Lewis, and we are proud to be offering the entire range of Terex construction equipment to the southwest of England from May 2005. Leach Lewis have been exhibiting at SED since the early days at Hatfield. We have always had new and existing products on display. This year we had the new Atlas-Copco 7 Series Compressors and new rollers from Bomag including the new 120AD-3. In addition we demonstrated the new 1 Tonne Hi-tip Dumper from Thwaites. As usual a very warm welcome awaited you on the new shape Leach Lewis stand. | |

The Institute of Groundsman show, or Saltex, is held every year at the prestigious Royal Windsor Racecourse, attracting over 16,000 visitors, 90 members of the press, and showcasing over 400 of Europe's leading companies within an open space management arena. With a selection of small construction plant on display, Leach Lewis was able to showcase a range of machine applications for the groundsman industry. From Manitou lifting equipment, to Thwaites earthmoving dumpers, visitors were able to get a taister of the full support back-up we are able to offer. | |

S.E.D 2003 - "25 Years @ SED"

SED 2003 took place on Tuesday 29th April - Thursday 1st May 2003 and was the 37th National Event for Construction. The event took place at Fen Farm, Wavendon, Milton Keynes - there were 472 exhibitors to see from every construction sector. A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL THOSE WHO EXHIBITED AND VISITED SED 2003! Another SED is over - and what a show it was. The 37th annual SED (Site Equipment Demonstration) exhibition was officially the biggest show ever staged -with no less than 478 exhibitors - of those 170 were brand new to the event. |

Appering for the second time at Premier Hire (the Biggest Dedicated indoor small tools show in the UK) Leach Lewis had a very succesful show indeed. With all the hard work going into give-a-ways, competitions and hospitality by the Leach Lewis team, all our equipment had to do was to sit back, look shiny, & sell themselves. On display were Bobcat Excavators & Skid Steers, Bomag Compaction Equipment, Baromix Mixers, Clipper Floor Saws & Diamond Blades, Honda Generators & JCB Breakers & Power Packs all were recieved well. |

S.E.D 2002 was the best year yet for Leach Lewis Plant & everyone involved in their stand this year. Our main focus for the show was "hospitality, hospitality, hospitality". With the success of our well known hospitality bar area of previous years, we decided this year to madify our format to accomodate for a larger 'social area'. (a bigger bar) With the sun shinning, & bags of goodies streaming from our Charity Board Game event, everone came away with a smile on there face!! Thank you to everyone who visited our stand this year, without you, It just wouldn't be the same. |

COMPETITON WINNER - ATLAS COPCO GOLF

The Atlas Copco Golfing Competition was held at Knebworth in May. The competition consisted of over 30 teams with 3 people per team. The winning team being Mck Brown, Frazer Morey, and Sue Bartram of BTG, with Mick Brown being team champion and overall individual champion. Mick is currently Leach Lewis's I.T Director & has won the award for 2 years running, is there anyone out there who can beat this golfing hero? We will see again next year! | |
