S.E.D 2000 - THE LAUNCH OF A NEW LEACH

Paul Hopkins - Parts Sales Representative

S.E.D 2000 was for Leach Lewis Plant, and the LightHouse Club a great success. Not only did we manage to successfully launch our new company image, along with a new look for our company fleet (which included a brand new fully fitted motorway service van), but we also managed to raise a substantial amount of money for the Lighthouse Club charity, over £500 over the course of our three day competition.

As many of you will know who turned up to our stand at S.E.D, our Kubota K008 was a very intense and nail biting competition, trying to manoeuvre a mini excavator's arm around five skittles in the fastest time possible, with a ball and chain attached was not an easy feat, even to some of the more experienced machine operators.

The competition cost £1 a go, with all money going to charity, and with every competitor walking away with a prize, everyone went away happy. First Prize of a Mandi Scooter (donated by Manitou) went to machine operator Graham Chapman of DCC Plant Hire, who won the competition with his amazing 'Jerking technique'. Thank you everyone who came to our stand and supported this event, lets just hope the weather is as bright for next years S.E.D exhibition.
